Indeed it is beautiful! This is not our property, I'd have to ask the neighbors to ride on it. Would be great fun! I've got the trails you've got the horse, would be neat to unit them. :)
The best scenery photos in this group are 1, 7, 9, and 12. 1 - Has interest in several sectors. Lines run in angles drawing the viewer into the picture. It tells a clear story. 7 - Possibly the best in the group in my opinion. :-) The undulating road disappears near the center of the photo, but the close framing around the outside edge of the nearby trees works with that to draw the viewer in. It tells a story, but without a conclusion, which leaves the ending up to the viewer's imagination. Very nice. 9 - Has a good focal point in the red tree. The soft countryside in the background and angles in the foreground draw in the viewer. It sets a mood for peace and rest. 12 - The background is fogged enough and bright enough to set the trees off nicely without distraction. The trees fill the frame enough to stand out well. A good mood piece with various options. 10 is a good macro shot. The "in focus" area is enough to feel "right" and the less focused area is still present enough to fill the sectors and give needed detail.
I'm only an amateur photographer myself, so these are just my observations. :-) Keep up the good work.
Further suggestions - 2 - Lacks a strong focal point - the trees and hills are competing with each other for attention. 8 - Lacks a focal point. 13 - Needs some kind of boost. It's kind of drab. Try playing with it in Picasa or Photoshop or whatever you use. Maybe black and white with more contrast? Get the barn level too, even if it's that crooked in real life. :-) Believe me, I know how hard it can be to get barns level sometimes. I'm not sure why that is. Maybe they shift sometimes.
WOW, Josh! 2, 7, 9, 12 & 13 would be my favorites!
ReplyDeleteDid you know that you live in a trail rider's paradise? That is my favorite kind of country to ride in! It's beautiful!

#'s 5 and 7 are great! Not that some of the others aren't good.
