Thanks Rachel! Yes, #13 was a little blurry but I liked how exotic the flower looked and #11 was a little out of focus but it was just too pretty to not post it. :)
5, 4 & 1 are my favorites. I like 7 as far as the flower is concerned but it could be better if it had a different backdrop other than the blown out sky, maybe if it had been taken from a slightly different angle? It can be hard to get crisp pictures of flowers if it is the slightest bit windy I know. What lens did you use?
Thank you! A lot of these pictures were taken quickly and didn't really think too much about he composition. The flowers in #7 I saw growing on rooms of houses and that is where this one was on the roof of a building, hence the bad angle. I was just using my kit (18-55mm lens). It wasn't windy at all for any of these pictures actually which was nice.
Joshua have you ever done the 365 Photo-a-day (PAD) challenge? My photo club is doing it this year and I have decided to give it a try. The pictures don't have to be "professional quality" it is just to keep you shooting and trying new things. We have a Flickr group if you're interested in doing it with the group but you can do it on your own and post to your blog or wherever. I'm sure I'll forget a day or several but I think it will be fun!
I have heard of the 365 PAD challenge but haven't done it before. I might give it a try this year though, it would be more fun in a group, so yes I've be interested thank you!. :)
Haha, I like them all! Looks like #13 is a bit blurry, but it's still beautiful.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment Kimberlynne! I only wish I would have had more time to go into the actual jungle to take pictures.
