Thank you Kimberlynne! This was the first time for me and I'm so glad I had my camera with me to share the pictures with others (a big thanks to my dad for letting me use his 400mm telephoto zoom lens)! :)
Wow... That's a rare treat! Around here owls seem so rare altogether. I think I have seen like 2 owls in my entire life. The second one being recent-- I pulled into our driveway one night and it was perched atop our fence. I just sat there in the car amazed, thinking "how can I get a picture of this?" Then the dog barked and it flew away. It was an adorable little thing! I love the simplicity in 1, and the expression. But I like the contrast and the view of the context in 2,3,4 & 5. From a composition standpoint I like that 2 is slightly off-center and closer to the rule of thirds.
Thank you for your comment and photographic input. :) I hear the owls a lot were we live but I've only see one or 2 myself the most recent was last year early in the morning on my way to work it was roosting in one of the neighbors trees. I was wasn't able to photograph it either since I didn't want to be late for work.
1 & 4 are really good! That must have been a lot of fun, to actually see a Snowy owl on person!
ReplyDeleteThanks, it certainly was fun. :D I still can't believe I got to see a Snowy Owl in person!

DeleteI meant 3 is off-center...
ReplyDeleteI liked a lot because it looks like it's poised to take off or attack any moment! I also finally thought of making it off center a bit. :)
